Le Petit Jardin daycare, affiliated with the Norval-Morrisseau School Parent Association, is seeking a dedicated Director to lead its French-speaking after-school program.

This is a unique opportunity to actively contribute to children’s development in a dynamic Francophone environment in British Columbia, while playing a key role within a committed school community.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the overall management of the daycare program:

Leadership & Team

  • Recruit, supervise and motivate an educational team
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment

Relationships & Community

  • Collaborate closely with the school and families
  • Act as a key contact person for parents

Educational Program

  • Develop engaging activities in French
  • Organize camps, outings and professional development days

Operations & Organization

  • Oversee daily operations
  • Manage registrations, attendance and compliance

Finance & Administration

  • Monitor budget, payroll and funding

Health & Safety

  • Ensure a safe and compliant environment

👤 Profile we are looking for

Requirements

  • Bilingual French/English (French is required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in childcare
  • Experience in management or coordination (strong asset)
  • Valid First Aid certification or commitment to obtain the certification before job start date
