Position Overview:

Collège Éducacentre, the only French-language college in British Columbia, is seeking an Instructor to teach courses in its Specialized Education Assistant program, offered at the Surrey campus as part of the International Student Program.

Employment Details:

  • Start Date: October 26, 2026
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Contract Duration: Permanent
  • Location: Surrey, BC (the successful candidate must be able to work on-site at the Surrey campus and, if necessary, be willing to relocate)
  • Hourly Wage: $34 to $38 per hour
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Collège Éducacentre.
  • Teach Specialized Education Assistant program courses to international students in a classroom setting.
  • Prepare and adapt instructional materials to support diverse learning styles and promote student success.
  • Maintain and reconcile student grades.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students as needed.
  • Assess student progress and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Respond to student emails and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Participate in curriculum planning, scheduling, and student intake preparations.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative staff, including student advisors, program coordinators, and the Registrar’s Office.
  • Apply and uphold institutional policies (attendance, plagiarism, quality of French, etc.).
  • Participate in college meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or a college diploma in a related discipline.
  • Experience working as a Specialized Education Assistant or collaborating closely with Specialized Education Assistants.
  • Knowledge of the Specialized Education Assistant program is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with the SEA profession and the education sector in British Columbia is considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and digital learning tools (Microsoft Office, Internet, Zoom, Moodle).
  • Experience working with immigrant populations is considered an asset.
