The Fédération des Parents Francophones de Colombie-Britannique is seeking a dynamic individual with a strong commitment to community development to take on the role of Human Resources Officer for Childcare Centres.

Working in a stimulating and fast-evolving environment, the successful candidate will be required to manage multiple files simultaneously within a complex regulatory framework and handle confidential data on a daily basis. This individual will be responsible for implementing the recruitment and retention strategy for human resources for childcare centres operated by Le Phare C.-B. They will oversee the hiring process (including screening, interviews, and follow-ups with candidates), staff onboarding, and ensure that employee files comply with all regulatory requirements. The position involves contributing to the organization’s strategic decision-making related to human resources and maintaining regular communication with educational teams.

This is a permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week). The position is based at the Maison de la francophonie in Vancouver.

  • Salary of $28 to $32 per hour (depending on experience);

  • Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently while demonstrating a strong team spirit.

Job requirements:

  • A diploma in a field related to Human Resources Management;
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Knowledge of provincial labour laws;
  • Knowledge of regulations related to childcare settings is an asset;
  • Excellent command of MS Office, G Suite, and ease with web-based platforms;
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
